A Storyteller At Heart
Ever since I was a little girl, I have been fascinated by stories. Whether it was derived from the pages of a novel or a broadcast from the silver screen, the innate creativity of crafting an original narrative has always intrigued me.
Beginning at an early age, my voracious reading habits allowed me to develop my character, values, and writing skills. I challenged these developments in high school through becoming an integral part of my school newspaper, learning from my advisor and peers how to best communicate ideas to produce award-winning articles.
The past year spent as a Penn State freshman studying architecture has only pushed me further down my creative path. My architecture projects have tested me to tell stories through drafted drawings and glued cardboard, crafting themes and purpose through surfaces and space. I also had the opportunity to write and edit an original film made under 48 hours as part of the Student Film Organization, requiring intense collaboration and planning.
In this portfolio, you will see more than just these projects in detail. You will see a reflection of who I am as a person and a creative, as I put my soul into my work. As I look towards the future, I aspire to continue to develop my storytelling skills in the architecture field, considering the full picture of a project to create a narrative that is truly unique and special for years to come.
